Overview

Practical restaurant air conditioning, specified around the room.

Restaurants can swing from quiet to full occupancy very quickly. Cooking heat, extract systems, lighting, glass and open doors can make the dining room uncomfortable during service.

We install AC in restaurants, bistros, dining rooms, breakfast rooms, waiting areas and smaller hospitality spaces where customer comfort affects the experience.

The quote checks occupancy, kitchen heat transfer, extract, odours, door use, seating layout, ceiling type, noise, maintenance timing and how to install around service.

Specification

The details that decide whether the installation works properly.

Service occupancy

The system must cope when the room is full, not just during a quiet survey. People add heat and change airflow.

Kitchen influence

Kitchen heat, extract and pass-through openings can change the dining-room load and air movement.

No draughts over tables

Airflow should not blow directly onto diners, plates or waiting staff routes.

Cleaning and maintenance

Hospitality systems need accessible filters and sensible maintenance because grease, dust and long hours affect performance.

Typical jobs

Common installation patterns we plan for.

These are typology notes rather than claimed job records: they show the kind of practical thinking used before we recommend a system.

Small dining room

Usually a wall, cassette or concealed route depending on the ceiling and seating plan.

Restaurant with open kitchen

Needs closer load assessment because heat and air movement from the kitchen can affect the customer area.

Breakfast room or guest dining space

Quiet running and simple controls matter where customers sit for longer periods.

Quote guidance

What decides whether the fixed quote can proceed.

The quote route starts with postcode coverage, then checks the room, access, outdoor-unit position, electrics and installation route. Straightforward single-split systems can go through the fixed-price builder; complex rooms, commercial spaces and multi-room work may need a survey before the final scope is confirmed.

  • Peak occupancy and seating layout.
  • Kitchen heat, extract and door openings.
  • Ceiling type and unit style.
  • Installation outside service hours.
  • Maintenance access and cleaning routine.

Benefits

What customers usually want from this installation.

Reliable cooling

Bring the room back under control during warm weather, busy trading periods or high internal heat loads.

AC heating mode

Use the same fixed AC system for useful air-to-air heating when the weather turns colder. We do not install wet central-heating systems.

Neat installation

Plan the indoor unit, outdoor unit, pipe route and condensate route before installation starts.

Long-term efficiency

Choose inverter technology, good controls and routine maintenance to keep performance strong.

FAQs

Questions customers ask before they book.

Can restaurant AC be installed without closing?

Often work can be planned outside service hours, but it depends on ceiling access, drilling and electrical work.

Will AC spread kitchen smells?

AC is not a replacement for kitchen extract. We consider extract and airflow so the dining room is comfortable without creating odour problems.

What unit type suits restaurants?

Cassettes, wall units, ceiling-suspended units and ducted systems can all suit different dining rooms. The ceiling and seating layout decide.

How much does restaurant air conditioning usually cost?

The guide price depends on room size, output, pipe route, outdoor-unit position, electrics and finish. A straightforward bedroom or standard room install usually starts from GBP 1,950, conservatories and larger open-plan rooms usually start from GBP 2,450, and two-room multi-split work usually starts from GBP 3,800.

Do you install wet heat pump systems?

No. We install fixed air conditioning systems. Many AC units can provide useful air-to-air heating mode from the indoor unit, but we do not install wet central-heating heat pumps, radiators, cylinders or underfloor heating systems.
