Factory air conditioning for production areas, staff rooms and process spaces

Factory AC needs to start with the heat source. People, machines, extraction, dust and process demands all affect the right cooling route.

Overview

Practical factory air conditioning, specified around the room.

Factories rarely behave like normal rooms. Machinery, process heat, open doors, dust and shift patterns can make simple comfort-cooling assumptions inaccurate.

We install AC in factory offices, control rooms, production support rooms, staff rooms, inspection areas, equipment rooms and selected occupied zones.

The quote checks process heat, dust, extraction, machinery layout, working height, access, operating hours, electrical supply and whether the target is staff comfort or process stability.

Specification

The details that decide whether the installation works properly.

Heat source mapping

We identify the main heat loads before sizing: machines, ovens, compressors, people, lighting or enclosed equipment.

Dust and environment

Dusty or harsh spaces may need protected unit positions and more frequent maintenance.

Zone strategy

Cooling a control room, inspection area or staff zone can be more practical than cooling the whole production floor.

Maintenance windows

Installation and servicing need to fit around shifts, production downtime and site safety procedures.

Typical jobs

Common installation patterns we plan for.

These are typology notes rather than claimed job records: they show the kind of practical thinking used before we recommend a system.

Control room

Usually a dedicated system protecting staff and equipment from process heat.

Inspection area

Specified around staff comfort and stable working conditions near the production line.

Factory office or staff room

Often a standard commercial AC route with extra attention to dusty surroundings and access.

Quote guidance

What decides whether the fixed quote can proceed.

The quote route starts with postcode coverage, then checks the room, access, outdoor-unit position, electrics and installation route. Straightforward single-split systems can go through the fixed-price builder; complex rooms, commercial spaces and multi-room work may need a survey before the final scope is confirmed.

  • Heat source type and operating hours.
  • Dust, extraction and environmental conditions.
  • Zone versus whole-area cooling.
  • Working height, access and safety procedures.
  • Maintenance windows and production downtime.

Benefits

What customers usually want from this installation.

Reliable cooling

Bring the room back under control during warm weather, busy trading periods or high internal heat loads.

AC heating mode

Use the same fixed AC system for useful air-to-air heating when the weather turns colder. We do not install wet central-heating systems.

Neat installation

Plan the indoor unit, outdoor unit, pipe route and condensate route before installation starts.

Long-term efficiency

Choose inverter technology, good controls and routine maintenance to keep performance strong.

FAQs

Questions customers ask before they book.

Can AC work in a factory environment?

Yes, but the specification must consider dust, process heat, access and unit protection. Some spaces need a zone strategy rather than whole-room cooling.

Can you install around production hours?

Often, but it depends on access, isolation and site rules. We plan installation windows with the business.

Is factory AC for comfort or process control?

It can be either, but the brief must be clear. Process-sensitive rooms may need tighter design than staff comfort areas.

How much does factory air conditioning usually cost?

The guide price depends on room size, output, pipe route, outdoor-unit position, electrics and finish. A straightforward bedroom or standard room install usually starts from GBP 1,950, conservatories and larger open-plan rooms usually start from GBP 2,450, and two-room multi-split work usually starts from GBP 3,800.

Do you install wet heat pump systems?

No. We install fixed air conditioning systems. Many AC units can provide useful air-to-air heating mode from the indoor unit, but we do not install wet central-heating heat pumps, radiators, cylinders or underfloor heating systems.
